Quote is creating new subscription in OSMC instead updating existing subscription

Hi ,
We have an integration with CPQ-OSMC and it's an amendment scenario. We are modifying a quote using customer assets. After modifying it we are adding a new model on the same quote via Add line item. While submitting the quote for subscription it's creating a new subscription in OSMC for the Added line item instead of updating the existing one. We have updated the setting the oRCL_sm_updateOldSubscription to TRUE as well but still it's creating a new subscription only.
Can you please provide the solution if any. Also, please let us know the out of box behavior for this case.
