How do I get About Me AI to consider user input when generating a response

Summary: We have enabled Connections page and the About ME AI assistant. Out of the box it is not considering any user input. After much testing of the About Me Description Generator workflow we are sure it is to do with the information prompt - Additional context: {{$context.$triggers.REST.$input.userInput}} - which never returns any information. We created a custom version and added some prompts to add information being returned as text. All other prompts return values as expected but this one is always blank. We have tried to use the brain several times but it can't fix the issue although it does recognise it
