I would like to understand the standard system behavior between Backlog Management & Supply Planning when a Sales Order is simulated and released from Backlog Management.

For example:

  • The Supply Plan initially has:
    • Planned Order A → 100 units, available on 10-Sep
    • Work Order A → 100 units, available on 15-Sep
  • A first Sales Order for 100 units initially gets promised/pegged against Planned Order A with a 10-Sep date. (Requested date = 8th Sept.)
