Scheduled Process has status of Finished earlier than scheduled end date

Summary:

We have a scheduled process that was schedule to run until 2027, however, it has now been updated with a status of Finished. This was 5 years after the schedule was submitted so I am wondering if there is a limit on how far in advance the process schedule will run i.e. it will only run for 5 years, even if the end date is beyond 5 years.
