Unable to end-date an absence plan for a terminated employee

We are unable to end-date an absence plan for a terminated employee. The plan is active in the first (-1) assignment record of the employee, but already end-dated in the employee's third (-3) assignment record. Please see attached screenshots for reference.

Can you please help provide instructions on how to end-date the active plan in the employee's (-1) assignment record?
