In Oracle Fusion SCM, we have different types of items, and for a specific item type/category we would like to automatically populate a predefined set of attribute values during item creation.

For example, for a particular item type, we want certain attributes such as Make or Buy, Planning Method, Lot Control, Inventory Item, and some user-defined attributes (DFF/EFF) to be populated with predefined default values.

Is there a standard functionality in Oracle Fusion Product Information Management (PIM) / Product Development to:

  • Group specific attributes together and associate them with a particular item class/type?
