Forecast designator at Replenishment Planning

Currently business uses Supply Planning to generate supplies and they have multiple sources of forecast for the same item org combination. For example item 123 at Org A , for the month of oct 2026 can have routine demand, special project demand, one time demand etc. How they handle this in SP is that they load the forecast with different designators for the same item - org - time level so that at the supplies and demands table they can filter for a particular forecast designator as the order number and check the forecast for the same.

Can this be done in RP as well, as they want to start using replenishment planning for few categories of items. Their ask is that they need to be able to differentiate between forecasts for the same item - org - time level combinations. They only load external forecast , we are currently not using DP or the Demand engine within RP as well.
