Is there a more efficient way to create work orders (Process Manufacturing)?

Our work definitions only contain a base ingredient/item because of the nature of our process manufacturing process. The actual raw materials used can vary from work order to work order depending on available inventory, so the component requirements often need to be determined at the time the work order is created or executed.

Because of this, business users are spending a significant amount of time manually adding the required items/ingredients to each work order before production can begin. We have reviewed both the Classic and Redwood UIs, but the process of adding multiple components manually is still very cumbersome.
