Inconsistent 'Test Connection' Status Behavior

Summary:

We recently cloned our Oracle Narrative Reporting production environment to our Narrative Reporting test environment. As part of our post-clone process, we updated the EPM connections to point to our test environments.

When updating the connections, we updated the environment URLs, entered the appropriate credentials and clicked 'Test Connection'. Normally, we receive a "Connection Successful" message. However, this time we instead saw a red banner at the top of the connection box that typically indicates the connection update was unsuccessful. We moved forward by clicking OK and the connection showed an updated Modified timestamp. We then tested several reports that use these EPM connections, and the reports were able to retrieve data successfully.
