Can work orders released from planning use execution runs?

Summary:

26B introduced the capability for work orders to be slip into execution runs. (https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/readiness/scm/26b/mfg26b/26B-mfg-wn-f43092.htm#Steps-to-enable-and-configure)

The question that I have is how can work orders created through planning be split into execution runs?

One of my clients has this requirement and would like to use execution runs but work orders are created through planning. It seems like the only way to achieve this is by manually creating a work order.

I'd appreciate if someone could shed some light on this
