What is the logic behind the seeded measure Bookings Forecast MAPE

We are using the seeded 'Bookings Forecast MAPE'. We would like to understand the logic behind this, as we observed that we are not archiving the DM plan. But still this measure shows some value. We are using this in a replenishment plan to generate the policy parameters.
