Does Release Horizon limit which flow schedules are released, or only discrete work orders?
Summary:
We are using Production Scheduling with Include flow schedules enabled.
Setup
- Release horizon in days = 1
- Flow schedules are included in the schedule
- We then Release the schedule to Manufacturing / Work Execution
Observed behavior
On release, all open flow schedules within the schedule horizon appear to be released (completion date and build sequence updated), not only those that start within the 1-day release horizon.
Questions
- Does Release horizon apply to flow schedules at all, or only to discrete / standard work orders?
- If it does apply, which date is used to decide eligibility (scheduled start, completion date, or production-line day)?
- If it does not apply, is it expected that all open flow schedules in the schedule horizon are updated on every release?
