AI Agents – Standard Fields Renamed Using UI Text

Hello All,

We are considering replacing the custom fields with the standard Oracle fields to better leverage AI Agents and other standard capabilities. As part of this approach, some standard fields may need to be renamed to match our business terminology, using the UI Text tool.

We would like to better understand how AI Agents handle these standard fields when their displayed labels have been customized.

We would appreciate some clarification on the following:

  • Does the Agent rely on the standard label as part of its semantic mapping?
  • If the field code/business object remains unchanged, why can't the Agent use this metadata to identify the field when a custom label is used?
