Testing file upload to OCI Object Storage

edited Sep 25, 2026 8:15AM in Database 7 comments

Hi Team,

We have an APEX application hosted on a Base Database Service (DBCS). Currently, user-uploaded files from apex are stored on the DBCS server under the /u01 file system.

We are planning to migrate the existing files from /u01 to OCI Object Storage, development is completed and we have tested few files for both upload and download. We have a script, based on OCI CLI(https://community.oracle.com/customerconnect/discussion/comment/1699106) that we plan to use for migrating the files. In production, we currently have approximately 35,000 files that need to be migrated.

However, our DEV/UAT environments do not have a similar volume of existing files. We would therefore like to test the migration process.

Howdy, Stranger!
