Upgrade 26ai

Hi Team,

We are currently evaluating an upgrade from Oracle Database 19c to Oracle AI Database 26ai.

From a DBA perspective, I would like to understand the AI-related capabilities that can be leveraged after moving to 26ai, particularly:

  • AI Vector Search and vector data management
  • Storing and querying traditional relational data together with vector data
  • AI-enabled application development capabilities

Could someone explain these capabilities from a practical DBA perspective and highlight the key advantages of moving from 19c to 26ai?

The objective is to understand how we can position the 19c-to-26ai upgrade as an AI-ready database modernization initiative, rather than only a database version upgrade.
