Discrepancy for DocMetadata with FAFSA IRS Tax Transcript Matrix

We identified several DocMetadata field updates needed to better align tax-transcript document fields with the 2026–27 FAFSA verification guidance (see attachment). These updates affect the 1040, 1040x, ForeignTaxTranscript, and TaxReturnTranscript documents for the 26/27 Award Year and Forward.

At a high level, the updates:

• Separate untaxed IRA distribution and untaxed pension information into distinct fields.
• Add the missing pension field where needed.
• Correct field labels and transcript descriptions for TaxReturnTranscript.
• Ensure the affected fields display in the intended order.

These updates are planned for an upcoming Oracle baseline configuration release. If you need the corrections before that release is available, your team may apply them through your normal configuration workbook process.
