Security - Small OCI environments

Hi Team,

We are evaluating whether security best practices in our environment and would appreciate your guidance on its practical benefits, use cases, and cost implications.

Current Architecture:

  • OCI Load Balancer deployed in a public subnet
  • Load Balancer protected using a WAF/Firewall policy (not a separate firewall appliance)
  • 2 OCI Compute instances
  • 2 Oracle DBCS instances
  • Small environment supporting a PaaS application integrated with Oracle Fusion SaaS
  • WAF policy configured with approximately default 20 Oracle-recommended protection rules(any suggestions)
  • Access restricted to India-based traffic, as all users are located in India(we cannot restrict users from specific ips, since they access from home as well)
