The Manufacturing and Cumulative Lead time rollup for Sub assemblies

Hi,

we are observing the below behavior.

why the Manufacturing and Cumulative Lead time rollup for Sub assemblies are  triggering Item Import process for the components also instead of Sub-assembly level only while interface from PLM systems?

Is this the expected behavior? if yes
Why is item import triggered for the components as part of subassembly's Lead time Rollup?

Can anyone come across this, please update your comments.
