New Work Schedule Assignment not reflecting in timecard for mid-week changes

Is it expected behavior that a Work Schedule Assignment change effective within an existing time card period will only be reflected in the next time card period?

For context,
old Work Schedule Assignment (effective Apr 28-Sep 30): PH-10:00 to 19:00 Hrs.-1 Hr Break-01
new Work Schedule Assignment (effective Oct 1): PH-13:00 to 22:00 Hrs.-1 Hr Break-01

However, below is what shows in Employee's timecard for Oct 1 and Oct 2: Old shift is still reflecting

And in the next time card period: New shift is now reflecting

Direct Line Manager's view from Team Schedule: New shift already reflects for Oct 1 and Oct 2

Due to the discrepancy, the employee is unable to file time entries based on the new shift schedule for October 1 and October 2, as the time card still displays the previous work schedule even though the new Work Schedule Assignment is already effective and visible in Team Schedule.
