Consuming high cpu SQL Capture - BaseDb

edited Oct 14, 2026 10:10AM in Database 102 comments

Hi Team,

We do not currently have the Database Management feature available for our Oracle Database 19.28 environment. Instead, we have configured a CPU utilization alert in the OCI console, which triggers when CPU utilization exceeds 80%.

Whenever we receive an alert, we manually log in to the database server and run a custom SQL query to identify the SQL statements consuming the highest CPU time. However, the query we are currently using, sourced from an online article, does not provide sufficiently accurate or useful information.

Is there a way to automate this process so that whenever the CPU utilization alert is triggered, we can automatically capture and receive a report containing the following details for the top 5 or 10 SQL statements?
