British Columbia (BC) timezone starting 2026

edited Oct 14, 2026 10:06PM in Human Capital Management

Summary:

From March 8, 2026, BC will not change time anymore (see B.C.'s new time zone (Pacific time)). We need an Oracle update for time zones.

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

Pacific Time (PCT) is the new year-round permanent time zone for British Columbia. On November 1st, 2026, no time change should apply.

But in Oracle, we only have US Pacific Time as the West Coast time zone, related to Los Angeles, California. Los Angeles will change time on November 1st, 2026.

Is there an Oracle update to come soon to address this coming issue?

Let us know, please.
