Position Sync overrides HR transaction

Summary:

We have the Position Sync turned on. In our organisation, we performed several HR transactions to employees - Higher Duties, Return to Substantive, Temporary Assignment etc. Then we also have position updates which may be future dated.

Current behaviour:

Scenario 1:

JA is assigned to Position A as higher duties - 10/08/2026 ACDT.

JA has returned to his substantive (Position B) - 10/09/2026 ACDT.

The sync ran on 11/09/2026 ACDT, this changed Employee A's position back to Position A.

DH on the other hand has returned to Position A - 11/09/2026 ACDT.

There has not been any change to Position A, other than probably the incumbent as DH was moved back to the position.
