OCI Identity Domain - Sign-On Policy Change Notification Impact

Hello Team,

Recently, we started receiving the following notification in our OCI tenancy:

"Review sign-on policy changes. Oracle requires explicit consent for any modifications to the default security posture of the 'Security Policy for OCI Console' sign-on policy."

The notification provides two options:

  • Keep Changes
  • Restore to Default Security Posture

Our OCI environment is currently being used for Oracle Cloud applications, and we are able to access the system without any issues.

We would like to understand:

  1. What specific changes trigger this notification?
  2. If we select Keep Changes, will there be any impact on existing application access?
