Hi Team,

We are configuring a site-to-site IPsec VPN between OCI and our on-premises FortiGate firewall. We would like to understand the ASN requirements and the precautions to consider during configuration.

  1. Does OCI require us to specify an ASN for the DRG, or is the OCI-side ASN assigned automatically?
  2. Does the on-premises FortiGate need its own ASN, OR do we need to provide them?
  3. How do the OCI DRG ASN and FortiGate ASN interact during BGP peering over the IPsec VPN tunnels?
