Hi Team,

We have configured an OCI Site-to-Site VPN between our OCI VCN and an on-premises FortiGate firewall.

In future, In case of any connectivity issues, I would like to understand how to identify whether the problem is originating from the OCI side or from the on-premises network or FortiGate firewall.

  1. What commands can we run from an OCI compute instance to verify connectivity to the on-premises network and confirm that traffic is being routed through the VPN?
  2. How can we verify that traffic is leaving the OCI VCN?
  3. If the VPN tunnel is up but connectivity is failing, how can we determine whether the issue is related to OCI or the FortiGate?
