Intermittent Cloud EPM Snapshot Size Reduction (100+ GB to ~83 GB) – Has Anyone Experienced This?

Hello Everyone,


We are observing an unusual behavior with our Oracle Cloud EPM environment and wanted to check whether anyone in the community has experienced something similar.


Our daily maintenance snapshots are typically over 100 GB, but on certain days the snapshot size drops significantly to approximately 83 GB, and then after a few maintenance cycles returns to its original size without any major configuration, metadata, or application changes on our side.

A few questions for the community:
1. Has anyone observed similar fluctuations in Artifact Snapshot or Environment Backup sizes?

2. Were you able to identify the root cause?

3. Did Oracle explain the size reduction?
