Can Holiday Profiles be used together with Calendars in OTM?

I have found very limited documentation or examples regarding the use of the Holiday functionality in OTM, specifically the objects/tables HOLIDAY, HOLIDAY_PROFILE, and HOLIDAY_PROFILE_DETAIL.

Could someone confirm whether this functionality is fully supported and commonly used in OTM?

More specifically, I would like to understand whether Holiday Profiles can be used in combination with the Calendar object, and how the two concepts interact when determining availability/non-working days.

If anyone has implemented this setup in practice, I would also appreciate any examples or recommendations on the intended configuration.
