Update Stability: Making PO Line Flexfields Required via Page Composer or VBS

Hello Community,

We need to make a specific descriptive flexfield (DFF) segment mandatory at the Purchase Order Line level.

Because of an underlying Oracle issue, we cannot enforce this globally within the core flexfield definition itself.We are considering using Page Composer (for Classic) or Visual Builder Studio (for Redwood) to make it required at the UI layer.

However, our implementation partner warns that UI-level changes on flexfields are highly vulnerable to breaking during quarterly updates and redeployments.

Could Oracle or the community please provide guidance on the following:

1. Update Stability: Will making a PO Line DFF segment required via Page Composer or Redwood VBS safely survive quarterly patches and core flexfield redeployments?
