Oracle Fusion Cloud – Feasibility of Revenue Recognition Upon Customer Delivery (IFRS 15)

Hello Oracle Community,

We are currently evaluating a business requirement related to revenue recognition under IFRS 15 in Oracle Fusion Cloud.

Current Scenario:

Sales orders are processed through Order Management (OM). Upon shipment confirmation, the Receivables (AR) transaction is generated, and revenue is recognized immediately.

Business Requirement:

The customer would like to maintain AR invoice generation upon shipment while deferring revenue recognition until the goods are delivered to the customer and control is transferred, in accordance with IFRS 15.

We would appreciate Oracle's guidance on the following questions:

  1. Is it possible to generate the AR invoice upon shipment while deferring revenue recognition until actual delivery confirmation?
