Two Cost Methods in a single cost organization?

Summary:

Hi, is it possible to have two cost methods in a single cost organization?

Currently, both Process Manufacturing and Discrete Manufacturing are being operated within the same Manufacturing Organization. However, the business requirement is that:‌

  • Discrete Manufacturing transactions should be costed using Perpetual Costing.
  • Process Manufacturing transactions should be costed using Periodic Costing.

We would appreciate your clarification on the following points:‌

  1. Is it possible in Oracle Fusion to use two different costing methods (Perpetual and Periodic) within the same Cost Organization?
  2. If the answer to question 1 is yes, a few of the Semi-finished goods/Finished goods in process manufacturing are used as raw materials in Discrete manufacturing (consider for packing). How will costing related to this be processed?

Howdy, Stranger!
