oci waf capability rules

Hi Masi,

We currently have 20 capability rules added in the OCI WAF console. However, the recommended list displays 29 capability rules, and we are planning to add the remaining recommended rules.

Before proceeding with the changes in production, I have the following questions:

1. Backup and Rollback Procedure

There does not appear to be an export option in the OCI console to back up the existing WAF capability rules.

  • Could you please advise how we can take a backup of the existing WAF configuration, including the 20 currently enabled capability rules and their associated settings?
  • If we encounter any application issues after adding the remaining recommended rules, what is the recommended rollback procedure to restore the previous configuration?
