How To Implement Restrictions with Action Manager on Item Master

Action Manager has been configured on the Item Master, allowing users to select multiple Item IDs and execute the custom action. Is there a way to restrict the selection to only one Item? If a user selects multiple Items, the system should display the following error message:

"Only one item can be selected"
