Impact of Updating the Inventory Item Flag from “Yes” to “No”

Summary:

There are a few items that were created with the Inventory Item flag set to “Yes.” The client now wants to update the Inventory Item flag from “Yes” to “No.”

Before making this change, we would like to understand if there are any downstream impacts related to standard Oracle Fusion functionality.

Specifically, we would like to understand:

• What will be the impact on existing or past inventory transactions after changing the Inventory Item flag to “No”?
• Will this change impact any existing on-hand quantity for the item?
• Can the Inventory Item flag be updated from “Yes” to “No” when there is on-hand stock available?
