Does catalog visibility scope "Open" and "Private" is same as Manage default access

Summary:

In Classic UI, we have Manage default access under Course and Offering. Is this same as Catalog visibility scope "Open" and "Private"

Content (please ensure you mask any confidential information):

In Redwood UI, we have Catalog visibility scope "Open" and "Private" for visibility control to learners.

Does this is same as Manage default access in Classic UI.

  1. Manage default access> Self-Service Settings> View Mode> No Access ⇒⇒⇒ catalog visibility scope "Private"
  2. Manage default access> Self-Service Settings> View Mode> Details View ⇒⇒⇒ catalog visibility scope "Open"

Is this correct or we need to set this manage default access in some other place for Trainings.
