Oracle is deprecating password-based authentication for Oracle Fusion REST and SOAP services

I believe most of y'all would've received the email notification from Oracle regarding deprecating password-based authentication for Oracle Fusion REST and SOAP services by March 31, 2027.

Who is affected?

You may be affected if you use custom integrations, scripts, scheduled jobs, agents, applications, or third-party tools that connect to Fusion Applications using:

  • The HTTP Basic Authentication scheme for REST requests.
  • Username-token or other password-based authentication policies for SOAP requests.

What is changing?

Oracle is deprecating password-based authentication for Oracle Fusion REST and SOAP services. Customers must migrate affected integrations to a supported token-based authentication method.

What is the impact on existing integrations?
