Difference between receipt accounting and cost accounting

Summary:

can someone please help with the difference between reciept accounting and cost accounting.

we have procurement(PO-Expense/Inventory Items), inventory(Transfer Order) and finance modules enabled in our instance.

we would like to know the ESS job which needs to be run before and after create accounting ( subledger - receipt accounting and cost accounting ). Also need to understand complete flow.

As of now, I'm aware of this processes only

  1. Transfer Transactions from receiving to costing
  2. Transfer Transactions from Inventory to costing
  3. Create Receipt Accounting Distributions
  4. Create Accounting - Receipt Accounting subledger application
