Accessing Oracle ASM instance/Solaris zones
We have Oracle ASM installed in the root (global) zone of a server and have some developmental/test instances to deploy that need to be isolated using Solaris Zones.
Thus, I need a Database instance running in a local zone that can read/write data on disks managed by an ASM instance that is installed in the Global (root) Zone on the same server This is not a RAC setup but was wondering if it would otherwise require RAC voting disk and clusterware support. If that is the case then this won't work. Problem is that I don't have local disk to use, ASM is taking all of the availble disk, which is managed externally on an EMC array. To save the customer $$$ we need to maximize the use
