standby with asm primary db

  Hi all when I have primary db in RAC with ASM (oracle 11g or 10g) can I use physical standby (redo apply) in file system or I have to use ASM on standby site or use logical standby ?


Is this real / support solution ?

This only question for new architecture of product environment (best practises)
