OTL: TImecard hours do not match the total of the detail

I have a user who submitted a timecard to his supervisor that  showed 83 hours. The supervisor rejected the card because the total should have been 80 hours.

The employee fixed the card and resubmitted. The card now sites in the supervisor's worklist with a total of 80 hours (in the card itself) but the description and the detail for each day show a total of 83 hours.

Any idea how to resolve??
