SS Time Card - Pay Periods crossing calendar year issue
Employees receive PTO once a year and have to "use it or lose it" by the end
of the calendar year. It does not matter if the calendar year ends mid-pay
period. Their new PTO is available for them to use on the first day of the
new year, again regardless of where it is in the pay period.
End of last year and beginning of this year, we had a timecard that crossed years. It went from 12/31 thru 1/13.
Because it crossed years, we had all kinds of issues regarding employees trying
to record their vacation, sick, personal time for 2008. It was telling them
of the calendar year. It does not matter if the calendar year ends mid-pay
