In OCM, what does the patch advice actually do?

With eBusiness Suite there is the patch wizard in OAM, which compares patches in an environment with patches recommended by Oracle (updated on a regular basis). These patches are eBusiness Suite module patches i.e HR, Financials, Supply chain patches etc..

Grid control also has similar functionality for a wide range of products, but I believe the advisory functionality is only for Critical Patch Update (CPU).

What does the Configuration Manager patch advice functionality report on? Is it only CPU patches? Does it do eBusiness Suite modules?
