some questions about Dataguard

 hi experts, i have some questions about dataguard, i work with oracle 10g R2, and I need to create a DRP in which I have a database in status standby , located 3500 kilometers from the main site, that solution is more advisable Dataguard or log shipping?
if Dataguard constraints that might have? , Note I have not installed RAC.

the database it's OLTP, and my bandwidth is limited.
