Oracle connection size

I am connecting to oracle 10.2.0.4 using thin client, performing simple select statements on the dba_objects table. My connections sizes start off at 24M and then eventually grow slowly over time...this is causing a problem bc eventually my 8G server crashes due to lack of memory. Any Ideas.....
