Performance database tips

 Hi,
I would like to know where i can find information about tuning and performance. I have two databases one with 9i and the other with 10g, the firstone is taking 400 GB of space and i have a lot of bottlenecks, i didn't find information about this topic, who explain me a good practice because i can play with this database.
