import/export problem

I recently switch from 9i to 10g. First i installed 10g on windows xp for testing, every thing went fine i even transfer my schema from 9i to 10g using conventional import/export utility. Then i installed 10g on windows2003 server installation done but i am unable to import any thing in it, neither my 9i dmp file nor any dmp file created from 10g and importing back into same, with out any error.. process stops at.. importing objects in user 'abc'... blinking.. I even manage to import same 9i dmp file through administration console, but why that import utility not working any idea….?
