Handling OS errors within SQL script

 Hi, I have an issue running an SQL script from grid. In a script i am using "host start /wait C:\Oracle\10.2.0\Bin\ocopy.exe X Y" to copy a file. In this case the job status is showing success even if the file X does not exist. How can i make SQL aware of these type of errors?.
