Oracle 10g R2 RAC on HP-UX v2 on PA-RISC 64-Bit severs

Hi,

We have implemented Oracle 10g R2 RAC on HP-UX v2 on PA-RISC 64-Bit severs. HP-UX was installed in Dec 2007 and Oracle 10g R2 RAC was installad in Jan/Feb 2008.

UNIX admin wants to install the latest HP-UX quality pack (GOLDPACK) and suggests that he will install latest HP-UX quality pack on 1st node now and will install the same in the 2nd node after a week .

I would like to know if this is ok as if we do this then the two RAC nodes will have different Unix patches (for a week atleast ) and if its ok to run Oracle 10g R2 RAC on these nodes. ours is a 24x7 system and critical databases are running on this environment.

Howdy, Stranger!
