Hello,

We are running oracle database on windows server 2003 and we have seen that the oracle.exe is running with a virtual memory of 51 gb (private bytes for oracle.exe shows 48 gb).
The current setting for SGA is 22 gb and the total PGA contribution is again 17 gb. So the total of SGA+PGA is 22+17=39 GB.

So the total memory allocated for oracle (sga) and the memory contributed by the process (PGA) is not totalling to 51 gb (or 48 gb of the private bytes) can you please let me know if we have to take something into consideration to account for 10 gb of the difference in memory consumption by oracle.

Howdy, Stranger!
