PDF quality: BPA Publisher and XML (BI) Publisher

Can anyone tell me what is the quality of PDF files that get printed in the BPA Transaction Print Program? I have the same question for our statements, which are printed using XML Publisher (Business Intelligencece Publisher).
When I create a PDF in Adobe, there are three choices: Lower Quality (Smaller File Size), Default, and Better Quality (Larger File Size). Our sub-contractor printer wants to know what quality our PDF invoices and statements will be printed in.

Also, do I have the ability to specify the quality I want?
