Restricting Users from Changing Receipt Amounts after Creation

Hi,
We are implementing Oracle, version R12, and we are needing to restrict users from changing the receipt amount once it is created an saved.  Is anyone aware of a setting or an easy way to control this?  We would like them to have to reverse the original receipt, then create a new one.
